What races do you tip in?
We concentrate our tipping in the major metropolitan weekend race meetings - Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Normally the major race meeting is on Saturday, but we have been very successful finding winners at the midweek Metropolitan races when these occur.
How many races do you tip?
The number of races we tip in can vary significantly on each race day. The reason is that not every race meeting offers VALUE.
We handicap every Metropolitan race every race day, develoo our own odds book determining the prices we believe our horses should be at. We then compare our TRUE odds against the MARKET odds.
We define a VALUE bet as one where the available odds are better than our true odds.
Sadly, the bookmkaers and totes are not noted for their genrousity and this does not happen that often. The average punter has little hope of ever finishing up in front. In fact most have given up.
The good news is that it does happen.
You just need to find it!
How do I get the tips?
The tips are sent via SMS, and confirmed by private email, approximately 30 minutes prior to the first race in Melbourne each race day.
Once or twice a year our carrier may experience technical problems, so always check your emails.
Can I get the tips emailed to me?
Yes - because SMS is not 100% reliable, we always email you your tips.
HELP! I didn't receive my tips!
It's Saturday morning, the first race is 20 minutes away, and your tips haven't arrived? Firstly, don't panic.
You should start by checking your email as well as your phone. Sometimes there are issues with the mobile networks that delay SMS messages.
If there are still no tips, try sending an email to admin@hotshotwinners.com.au. Sometimes the tips go out a bit later if there are no bets in the first few races and our tipsters decide it's worth waiting for some late mail before finalising the selections.
Otherwise you can call - our EMERGENCY number is 0408220984.
I got the tips - what do all those numbers mean?
Thanks for signing up!
The first letter and number are for the city and race. For example, "M3" is Melbourne Race 3. We don't specify the exact venue as the initials of the venues are less unique - is "M" for Mooney Valley or Morphettville?
So it's A = Main Adelaide meeting, B = Main Brisbane meeting, M = main Melbourne meeting, S = main Sydney meeting and P = main Perth meeting.
When does my subscription expire?
Your subscription expires once a year at your sign up anniversary. However you can opt in/out whenever you like. Just send us an email. You will remain a subscriber, you just won't receive any tips and won't pay for any until you opt back in.
How do you plan on keeping me informed?
Our primary method of communication with our members and subscribers is via our web site.
We update the results weekly, so it is always kept up to date.
When ever something special happens, you will receive an email with a summary paragraph and link to a new article.
You will be sent to our What's New page where we review recent performance, issues relevant to our subscribers, changes to our products, as well as include information on punting in general.
No more annoying newsletter. We are putting you in the driver's seat.
Why are you emailing me about my credit card expiring?
This email is automatically generated by our billing system. Our system stores an encrypted copy of your credit card, and it emails you when your card is about to expire to avoid billing failures. It also emails you if there is a billing failure, and we will also manually follow up any billing failures.
Please note, we do not have access to your credit card.
Can you send the tips earlier?
There is a late mail component to our selections, without which we seriously doubt our tips would have any profitability like we've historically experienced. Due to this, we are unfortunately unable to provide the tips any earlier than we do.
